A starter theme is useful, but the goal is not to look like a starter theme.
For this portfolio, the structure comes from Navfolio: profile, projects, blog, about page, search, and content collections. The visual direction borrows from a marketing sidebar theme: sharper typography, darker surfaces, stronger contrast, and a clearer professional offer.
What Changed
- The palette moved from soft green/yellow into light blue.
- The hero became more direct and service-ready.
- The profile image became a custom GS monogram.
- The navigation cards became stronger project and service entry points.
- The starter content was replaced with portfolio-specific copy.
What Still Needs Work
The current version is a foundation. The next layer should add real projects, screenshots, a contact path, and a more custom interactive section.
